AI voice agents

An AI receptionist that answers every call, live in three days.

A voice agent that answers your phone line from your own FAQs and help articles, around the clock, and transfers the caller to a person when it can’t help. Three days to go live; about a week if it also books, looks up or updates things in your systems.

In short

PutThrough builds AI voice agents and AI receptionists that answer phone calls from a company’s own FAQs, help articles and policies, using retrieval over those documents. An agent that answers questions, takes messages and transfers callers to your team goes live in three days at most, at a fixed price agreed in writing after a free scoping call. Agents that also take actions in your systems, such as booking appointments or looking up orders, take about a week. Every agent tells callers it is AI, transfers to a person on request, logs every call and runs under a monthly cost ceiling.

01Who it’s for

For businesses that miss calls, or answer the same ones all day.

  • Local and service businesses

Hours, prices, locations and availability answered at any hour, so after-hours callers aren’t lost.

  • Support lines

Order, account and how-to questions answered from your help articles, with the hard ones transferred to your team.

  • Teams without a receptionist

Every call answered on the first ring, and a message taken for anything that needs a call back.

02Example uses

What a voice agent usually does.

  1. AI receptionist

Answers your main line, handles common questions and routes the caller to the right person.

  2. After-hours and overflow

Picks up when your team is busy or closed, answers what it can and takes a message for the rest.

  3. Support hotline

Answers order, account and how-to questions from your help articles, and transfers anything tricky.

  4. Bookings and lookups

Books, reschedules or looks up orders in your systems, with a person approving anything that changes money. About a week.

03What fits in three days

04Three days

Three days, one voice agent.

A voice agent that answers from your FAQs and articles goes live in three days at most. One that also takes actions in your systems takes about a week. Your plan is set on the scoping call.

  1. Day 0

    Scoping call and fixed quote

The questions it answers, when it transfers, which number it answers and what it must never say.

  2. Day 1

    Knowledge, voice and test questions

Your FAQs and articles loaded for retrieval, the voice and greeting chosen, and a set of real caller questions with the right answers.

  3. Day 2

    Build and test by phone

The agent answering a test number, scored against the question set, with transfers and messages working. You call it yourself.

  4. Day 3

    Launch and handover

Live on your line with call logs and the cost ceiling on, then the handover: how to add answers and change its rules.

05What you get

What you walk away with.

  • The voice agent, live on your phone line
  • The question set, and the results it passed at launch
  • Transfers to your team, and messages for call-backs
  • A log of every call, and a monthly cost ceiling
  • A guide to adding answers and changing its rules

Plus the standard handover every build ends with: source code, a written handover, a recorded walkthrough and every account in your name. The full Day 7 list

06Stack

Speech, retrieval and a phone line, all swappable.

Speech recognition, the voice and the language model sit behind interfaces you can swap as quality and prices change. Answers come from retrieval over your own documents, so the agent says what you have written, not what it guesses.

Knowledge

Models

07Pricing

A fixed price to build, and a ceiling on what it costs to run.

Your exact price is fixed in writing after the scoping call, before you commit to anything.

After launch, the care plan is from $499 per month.

08Questions

Questions about AI voice agents.

Something we haven’t covered?

Ask on a call
01 Will callers know they are talking to AI?

Yes. It says so at the start of every call, and transfers to a person whenever the caller asks.

02 How long does it take?

An agent that answers from your FAQs and articles, takes messages and transfers callers goes live in three days at most. One that books appointments, looks up orders or updates your systems takes about a week, because each action is built and tested on its own.

03 Is this contact center AI?

It is the part most businesses need: an AI agent that answers and routes calls. Large contact centers often add AI to platforms they already run. For one line or a small team, a dedicated voice agent is usually simpler.

04 Can it make outbound calls?

Not as a calling campaign. In the US, the FCC treats AI-generated voices as artificial under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so calling people with one needs their prior express consent. We build agents that answer calls, and call back only people who asked to be called.

05 Are calls recorded?

Only if you want them to be, and then the agent tells callers at the start of the call. Some US states require everyone on a call to consent to recording, so the greeting covers it.

What do you need?

What it should do, who will use it, the must-haves, and any links. A few sentences is plenty.
